Starting as a graphic designer at Darktrace, I found a gap in their video offerings and worked my way into becoming the Lead video designer there. I currently manage a team and we now are a end-to-end in-house video creative and production service.

Animated adverts for King’s roster of games as part of Eight&Four

Working for Eight&Four’s retainer account, I was part of the team that conceptualised and designed adverts for a variety of outputs, including the app store, Snapchat, and Instagram.

Social media content for Din Tai Fung’s Chinese New Year campaign.

Din Tai Fung is one of the world’s most popular Chinese restaurants with outlets across Asia and Europe. To promote their CNY campaign I created brushstroke animations for their classic logo and celebratory wishes, as well as turned their still assets to animated content.

This project started out as an animation parody of the Grand Theft Auto series and eventually became a full animated trailer. I had started this to try and benchmark my animation abilities, and completed this project in 30 hours, including animation and audio sourcing time.

Inspired by MAC’s campaign for inclusivity and the video game theme presented by the client, I wanted to include diversity in my design without being too blatant about it. The end result was this; agendered, ageless, skin coloured space invaders.

2D animated screen content direction for Capita’s new logo reveal as part of their re-branding launch in London.

This brief was to reflect the new energy, interdisciplinary nature, and integrated approach of Capita. I chose to use a fast/slow animation in order to reflect the agility of the brand, and bringing certain colours to the forefront to represent focus shifting.

Advert Proposal in January 2019.

Creating an ad for an adult toy that was compliant to social media advertising policy was the product of a job interview and preliminary tasking. After defining the boundaries, I looked for an angle which would allow the advert to be clear, but not too obvious, intimate, but not too sexual. The result was an advert focusing on the shared experience rather than the action and being completely gender neutral to express the universality of this shared experience.

E-invitations for conferences and launch events across 2018-19

Animated invites need to strike a balance between being visually stunning and being short enough to cater to the viewer’s attention span. This series of e-vites were designed for various conferences and events, and reflect the theme, while staying on brand.

I designed this evite with the idea of a secret society meeting in mind. After deciphering the fading riddle, the message comes out part by part, as if the veil had been lifted, inviting you to a secret world where only the privileged can enter.

Restaurant redesign in April 2016.

Inspired by Kengo Kuma’s wooden interior architecture, this restaurant redesign was driven by the client’s desire to raise the market perception of his restaurant and diversify into fusion Japanese food. I worked with Michael Chu to produce the overall concept, bar, and sushi counter and oversaw it’s construction.

Interactive Installation at the Royal Academy Lates in October 2015.

As part of the RA Lates in conjunction with Ai Wei Wei’s Exhibition, I(we) AM(are) ANONYMOUS is an installation designed to expose human nature under the guide of anonymity.

A two-way mirrored booth encompassing a solitary computer terminal, wherein visitors can type out anything they desired, will project all and everything after a randomised delay. This allows the user (or abuser) to say anything they wanted under the guise of complete anonymity, while being able to observe the reactions of the surrounding guests.

The sold-out exhibition saw this interactive installation being used to convey messages ranging from the benign and silly to downright outrageous.

Illustrated mini-series in 2015.

Socks and Sandals was a tongue-in-cheek poke at the eponymous fashion style that everyone either loved or hated. Armed with a pen and a poor sense of humour, I set out on a quest to educate (very subjectively) why people should not wear this fashion disaster.

Looking into taking care of my own mental health, I started illustrating to convey how I felt in vivid detail. Some good, some bad, the pictures and a few lines of poetry helped me to see what I thought, and then what I thought about that.

Spatial Design (speculative) in April 2017.

‘After the exhibition’ was designed to re-imagine the museum retail experience. Instead of having a shop space within a museum, I believed that the retail space should also be equally artistic and provocative.

The spatial layout and designation of this project was based on three criteria; the new proposed museum, retail experience design, and museum-visitor experience.

The result was 'After the Exhibition', a series of spaces which sell you ideas, products, beliefs and the future of art itself.
